KENNEWICK, Washington, June 1, 2026 – The US Route 6 Tourist Association announced today that its official newsletter, US Route 6 Happenings, has expanded its social media connectivity by increasing the number of social platform links featured in the footer of every published article.
The enhancement increases the newsletter’s social media presence from four platforms to seven, giving readers more ways to discover, share, and engage with travel stories, destination highlights, local events, historical attractions, and community news from across US Route 6.
The expanded social network now includes Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and YouTube Community.
The update is part of an ongoing effort to improve accessibility and engagement for travelers, history enthusiasts, tourism partners, and communities located along America’s longest historic highway.
“US Route 6 has always been about connecting people, places, and stories,” said Guy Cook, Vice President and Webmaster for the US Route 6 Tourist Association and editor of US Route 6 Happenings. “Expanding our social media presence allows us to share more discoveries, reach new audiences, and strengthen the growing community that follows US Route 6 from coast to coast.”
The new social platform links are designed to help readers engage with content in the format they prefer. Travelers can discover destination photography on Instagram, save travel inspiration on Pinterest, participate in discussions on Reddit, connect with tourism professionals on LinkedIn, and receive updates through YouTube Community posts.
The enhancement also supports the continued growth of US Route 6 Happenings, which provides free travel information, destination reviews, community spotlights, event announcements, road trip planning resources, and historical features covering the thousands of miles served by US Route 6.
Current subscribers will continue to receive all newsletter content at no cost.
The expanded social platform links became available on June 1, 2026, and are now visible in the footer of every article published on US Route 6 Happenings.
Readers are encouraged to follow the newsletter across all seven platforms and share their own discoveries from communities, attractions, museums, scenic byways, and historic destinations found along US Route 6.
