Historic downtown Helper, Utah, will come alive with creativity when the 32nd annual Helper Arts Festival returns August 20 through 23, 2026.
Set against the dramatic landscape of Carbon County, this popular celebration brings artists, musicians, filmmakers, performers, food vendors, residents, and visitors together along Helper’s historic Main Street. It is an inviting destination for anyone traveling through Utah on Historic US Route 6.
Discover Art Throughout Historic Helper
Visual art is at the center of the festival experience. Visitors can explore original work by regional and national artists displayed throughout downtown Helper.
The festival also celebrates plein aire painting, giving guests an opportunity to watch artists capture the scenery and character of Carbon County outdoors. Scheduled activities include a plein aire competition reception, a Quick Draw competition, and a silent auction.
Families can visit the Kids Art Garden, where younger festivalgoers can discover their own creative interests through hands-on activities.
Enjoy Live Music on Main Street
Live performances will fill Helper with music throughout the festival. Emerging and established performers are scheduled to appear on the Main Stage and other festival locations.
The 2026 lineup includes The Dukes, The Klick, Lyndy Butler and the Moonflowers, Runaway Fire, Great Salt Lake Yacht Club, Los Hermes de Los Andes, Mikayla Paige, Code Blue Revival, The Harpers, and Davey and the Midnights.
With different musical styles represented, visitors can stop for a favorite performer or spend the day discovering new music.
Watch Films and Live Theater
The historic Rio Theatre expands the festival beyond visual art and music. The 2026 program includes films, spoken-word presentations, and performances of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest.
The Carbon Shortcuts Film Festival will also showcase creative filmmaking inspired by the heritage, present, and future of Carbon County. These programs offer another way to experience the stories and imagination of the region.

Classic, custom, and vintage vehicles will line historic Main Street during the festival’s car show.
Car enthusiasts can admire carefully restored automobiles, distinctive custom builds, and vehicles representing different periods of American motoring history. The Main Stage schedule also includes a car show announcement on Saturday afternoon.
Shop, Eat, and Support Local Vendors
Festival vendors will offer artisan goods, handmade crafts, artwork, and food from local and regional businesses.
