Does Your US Route 6 State Have a Car Club?
A classic car parked along Main Street can start a conversation. Who restored it? Where has it traveled? What memories does it bring back?
For the US Route 6 Tourist Association, those conversations offer a way to connect automobile enthusiasts with the communities along the highway.
Does your state have a car club based in a community served by US Route 6? We would like to hear about it.
Help Us Discover Car Clubs Along US Route 6
We invite readers to introduce us to car clubs in towns and cities along US Route 6. Your club might celebrate antique automobiles, muscle cars, hot rods, vintage trucks, or a particular make and model. It might welcome a broad mix of vehicles and people who simply enjoy them.
Whether you belong to a long-established club or a small group that meets for coffee and a weekend drive, your local knowledge can help tell the story of your community.
Is your club located directly on US Route 6? Does it gather nearby or include the highway in its organized drives? Tell us how your club connects with US Route 6 so we can describe that connection accurately.
People, Memories, and Local History
A car club story can reach beyond the vehicles. It might begin with a family restoration project, a first car, or an old photograph of a hometown dealership.
We would like to learn what makes your group special. Perhaps members help newcomers understand restoration, share memories of local motoring history, or organize gatherings that welcome the public. If your club supports a charitable cause, tell us about that work, too.
These details give readers a reason to get to know the people behind the polished chrome.
What Should You Share?
To help us learn about your club, please provide:
- Club name and state
- Home community and its connection to US Route 6
- Types of vehicles or interests represented
- A short club history and what makes the group distinctive
- Public events, including confirmed dates, locations, admission details, and an official event link
- Website or public social media page
- A public contact who has agreed to receive inquiries
- A photograph you have permission to share, with the photographer’s credit and a brief description
If your club is near US Route 6 rather than directly on it, please include the distance and directions from the highway.
Please share public club contact information instead of private membership lists or personal details without permission.
Give Travelers a Reason to Stop
For a traveler who enjoys automotive history, a local car gathering could become a memorable part of a US Route 6 journey.
Help visitors understand what to expect. Are spectators welcome? Is the location accessible? Is there designated parking? Does the gathering depend on the weather?
Travelers should confirm event details with the organizer before making plans. Clear, current information helps everyone enjoy the visit.
