Celebrate Local Harvests at the Dalton Farm to Family Festival

Dalton Farm to Family Festival Celebrates Local Harvests

Travelers exploring northeastern Pennsylvania along US Route 6 can add a celebration of local agriculture, food and community spirit to their fall plans.

The fourth annual Dalton Farm to Family Fest will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Streamside Park in Dalton, Pennsylvania. Admission is free.

Located near the US Route 6 corridor and only a few miles north of Clarks Summit, Dalton offers travelers an inviting opportunity to leave the main highway for a small-town Pennsylvania festival.

Connecting Farms, Families and the Community

The Dalton Farm to Family Fest is designed to strengthen the connections among farmers, growers, local businesses and families.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy educational presentations, live demonstrations, performances and interactive activities. The festival highlights local farming resources while encouraging healthy living and a greater appreciation for the people who grow and produce food in the region.

Festival presentations are expected to cover subjects such as:

  • Beekeeping
  • Mushroom foraging
  • Gardening
  • Conservation
  • Cooking with locally inspired ingredients

The event will also feature vendors offering fresh produce, locally made products, services and community information. Food will be available during the festival.

A Festival Designed for Families

Young visitors will have their own place to explore inside the Children’s Activity Tent. Hands-on activities will give children opportunities to learn, create and participate while parents browse the festival.

Meteorologist Jeremy Lewan of WNEP-TV will serve as the keynote speaker. American Sign Language interpreters will be available throughout the day, helping make the festival accessible to more members of the community.

More to Explore Around Dalton

The celebration will extend beyond Streamside Park. The Dalton Borough Sidewalk Sale will take place on the same day, giving visitors another reason to explore the community.

Free music and a Dalton Fire Company fundraiser are also planned in town. Festival proceeds will benefit community programs and projects supported by the volunteer-run Dalton Community and Commerce Association.

The association organizes several community traditions during the year, including the Farm to Family Fest, Halloween activities and the borough’s Christmas tree lighting.
